Education System
There are many choices of study that international students may choose for applying in the universities and colleges of Cyprus. Cyprus is most well known for the study of Hotel, Hospitality and Tourism Management Programs. Most of the colleges in Cyprus offer the diploma and under graduate programs in Hospitality management and Hotel management. Working in Cyrus for students studying in the fields of Hospitality management and Hotel management is allowed during the busy summer months offering students the ability to put their hotel training into application. In general education is compulsory for children from approximately 4 years old in the Republic of Cyprus. There

 are both state and private schools available, with some of the private schools teaching in English. For expatriates living in Cyprus there are several private International Schools, including Highgate Primary and Secondary schools, the American International School of Cyprus and Falcon High School.

Students enrolled in the university semester program, earn up to 16 credits for courses in the following areas: Economics, Finance, Accounting, Communications, Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Graphic Design, Hotel Management, Travel and Tourism, Psychology, International Relations, Law, and Pre-Medicine. A 2.5 GPA, along with transcripts, letters of recommendation, and a statement of purpose are required for students to gain admission to the Intercollege university program.
